Jones Air Rotating Boom Assembly
JARBA is an Agricultural Aircraft Spray Boom which is fully computerised. JARBA is monitoring airspeed, nozzle angle and nozzle size at 10 times a second while the Aircraft is doing 140 mph, then automatically manoeuvres the boom through an arc of 110o to maintain the nozzle at an angle that will produce the prescribed droplet size no matter the airspeed of the aircraft. This has massive potential for drift mitigation through Digital Prescription Application. JARBA has also a unique method of metering Solid Fertilizer Flows through a conventional spreader which allows for Digital Prescription Application as written by an Agronomist.
